Goals, resolutions, whatever.

Somewhere over the course of the last two years, I lost my voice on the blog. I want to fix that but I'm not quite sure where to start. So, I'll just start here and like the first mile of most of my runs it'll feel ungainly and awkward but eventually I'll settle into a rhythm.

The first week of 2016 wasn't the most stellar, but that's mostly only because I was in a car accident (rear ended) on the way to work last Wednesday. Fortunately, no one involved was hurt and now I'm just onto the hassle of getting my car repaired. I'm hopeful that it will be repaired within the month, but the shop currently has no estimated time of completion. Maybe by my birthday, it'll be fixed. That would be a nice birthday present.

I've been mulling over a list of things that I'd like to accomplish this year for a few weeks now. I guess you could call them resolutions? I usually say I don't make resolutions, but that's basically what these are:
  • Health and Fitness Goals
    • Running
      • Run three 5Ks (May/August/November)
    • Weight Loss
      • Get back to my goal weight and stay in my preferred range.
  • Photography
    •  Pick a theme each month and take weekly photos in that theme for Photo Friday.
  • Crafts
    • Sewing
      • Make Eric's fleece PJ pants with pockets
      • Sew Cecilia a little fleece jacket with a zipper
    • Knitting
      • Finish three of my Dyed My Way kits from KnitCrate .
  • House
    • Build the raised bed garden that I've wanted for a good two years now.
    • Declutter, organize and deep clean. (I'm sure Eric is laughing as he reads this since I've been assigned the task of cleaning the bathroom counter for over a month now.)
  •  Personal
    • Keep the grocery budget in check. I think we spend too much on groceries and I know that I can do a better job.
    • Read 100 books! I'm doing the Goodreads 2016 challenge.
