Health and Fitness-y Stuff
I don't have a lot to report this week. It's snowing like crazy today and I think we have somewhere between 6-12" inches. I'm pretty much over the snow because I'd like to start running outdoors again. My treadmill, while a necessary evil, is boring. Apparently the stupid groundhog thinks it's going to be a long winter, but I don't put much faith in a rodent with a 39% accuracy rating.
This past weekend Eric and I had afternoon tea at the Fairmont on Battery Wharf in Boston. It was a pleasant way to spend an afternoon and the finger food was delicious.
I think my favorite was the regular scone with some lemon curd on it. I'd also like to point out an achievement of mine that I normally wouldn't:
I managed to blow-dry my hair straight without looking ridiculously poofy or having a million tiny stray flyaways. I have never ever done this by myself in my entire life. Blow drying my hair is hardly going to be a daily occurrence, but the fact that I can now do it myself without looking like I got into a fight with said hair-dryer is pretty fantastic. It makes me happy that I got myself a new hair dryer and some heat protect spray. It just goes to show that the right tools and a little practice are important.
