Saturday = My Friday

Working on a Saturday
I'm preparing to head off to work after a hearty and nutritious breakfast of wheat berries, cherries and almonds.
I was looking through my cupboards and I realized that I have a lot of stuff that just sits around not being eaten, so I've resolved to eat through my pantry stores. I might actually take some time tomorrow morning to inventory the pantry before Eric's family arrives. Does anyone else have this problem? Where they end up with a lot of non-perishable food stuffs living unused in their cupboards? I'm curious to know how others solve that problem.

I'm not thrilled to be going into to work today, but I do anticipate that I will get a lot done since it will be rather peaceful. And by peaceful, I mean so disturbingly quiet that I'm afraid the zombie apocalypse could happen and I could get jumped by a zombie.

Eric got a Flip!
Flip UltraHD Video Camera - Black, 8 GB, 2 Hours (3rd Generation) NEWEST MODEL

I'm pretty entertained by it. I'd also love to do a video blog but I have no idea what I'd actually talk about. Maybe a reader request if anyone has one! If you have any ideas for a video blog, lemme know in a comment down below

Sourdough Starter
I have been wanting to make sourdough bread for months now, however the thing about sourdough is that you need a starter. A starter is basically a symbiotic culture of yeasts and lactobacilli that ferment the food (flour) they are given and produce a sour tangy taste when used to cook with. Last night, Eric and I were discussing the other starter culture I currently have living in my kitchen (Amish Friendship Bread starter, the Amish part is a misnomer by the way) and we ended up searching for yeast on Wikipedia. We wanted to know exactly how these starters work, and after we were done, I was pensive. It seems that creating a starter culture is extremely simple and that purchasing one isn't necessary (which I had thought it was). I think you can guess where I'm going with this, but you might just see some Sourdough starter yeast culture posts in the near future.

I'm off to work now, but I want to know what everyone has planned for their weekend. Let me live vicariously through you! Lemme know in a comment down below! :)
