Cherry Tomato Plant Sprawl

It's Friday! YAY!
And that means it's deck garden update day! Sorry Rob, I don't have a better name for it yet. You should come up with one for me!

The cherry tomato plant has some serious sprawl going on! There are also a ton of flowers and fruits. I anticipate having some ripe tomatoes within the next two weeks. When one of my coworkers (Hi John W!) told me that these plants grow like weeds once they get going, I didn't quite believe him. I do now though, this plant is taking over my deck.
I think but I'm not sure that both of my other tomato plants are the regular sized tomatoes. They're just starting to flower now and they've got a lot less spread than the cherry tomato plant.

This is a baby pepper. How cool is that? I thought it would be at least two more weeks before I even saw baby peppers on the plant. I guess I forgot that pepper plants don't grow to be as big as my freaking tomato plants.
The sad little tomato plant got uprooted. I planted some carrots in there but they won't be ready for harvest until early September. If they even grow at all, I'll have to wait and see over the course of the next couple of months.

4th of July Plans
Low-key, private BBQ with just me, Eric and some foods. I'm hoping to get a new recipe up this weekend too. We'll have to see though because I might need to do a couple hours of work.

Have you ever grown your own vegetables or fruits from seed? Were you successful? Let me know in a comment below!

Enjoy your Friday! :)
