Rainy weekend

who needs an alarm clock? not me!
My internal clock has been a little strange lately. I've been waking up somewhere between 5:30 and 6AM naturally, no alarm clock. I'm not exactly sure how I feel about this yet, but I know that this little sticker brightened my Saturday morning:
I didn't follow the instructions but just the concept made me smile, which is something a groggy pre-coffee Sarah always needs.

so much rain...
What a wet weekend. Despite that we still managed to make it to the Wrentham Outlets.
I made my pilgrimage to the Nike outlet but wasn't overly impressed with their selection.
I only ended up with two new t-shirts. This one is my favorite:
I wore it to do a PSP workout and 20 minute treadmill run on Saturday.

veggie chips!
Saturday evening, as I was sitting on the couch with Eric, I had a brainstorm. I could make crunchy chips out of dehydrated veggies. I said as much to Eric and received the classic "Sarah's come up with another strange idea" face. I googled to see if it was possible to do dehydrated vegetables in the oven, and while it is, it seems a little... inconvenient.

Okay, that's not even true. It seems a lot inconvenient.

Then I went to my other favorite website, Amazon, and searched for a dehydrator. Now, I have a goodly amount of kitchen gadgets, so I'm rather reticent about purchasing another one. Honestly, I just don't know where I'd store it.

I still want it despite that. I want to be able to have spiced veggie chips with my meals.

more blog changes...
This weekend I:
  • Set up my twitter and added the widget to the right side of the blog!
  • Added a favicon (favorite icon) to the blog. In most browsers, you'll be able to see the tiny acorn in your browser's tab for the blog
  • Removed the Blogger navbar!
  • Made little contact/find me icons up there at the top right
I'm slooooowly compiling a stylesheet for the blog too. It's slow going since I'm having to learn CSS.

Orchard Chicken Salad
Subway had a special sub of the month in May: The Orchard Chicken Salad. I really loved it, but since it's now June, they aren't offering it anymore. I took it upon myself to recreate it as best I could on Sunday: If you liked it too, I've posted my slightly modified recipe as well. I think the original had celery, but mine only has dried cranberries and green apple. You can find it here.

Do you own a dehydrator? Is it worth it?
