The best laid plans...

always seem to go awry. 

As a side note, Eric always used to think awry was pronounced a-ree, not a-rye, now he uses the word at every opportunity, I think because he knows how to pronounce it. It's cute, and it makes me smile every time he says it.

But I digress..

I ended up falling asleep when I got home last night and missed my yoga class. That part was okay, I know how bad my body was craving sleep. The following part was not okay by me. When I did eventually wake up, I was in this foggy, exhausted, crampy (hates TOM!) and generally hungry state.  I know that this is one of my prime trigger states for consuming more food than I need, but I just couldn't stop myself.

Too many s'mores and a few too many handfuls of trail mix later, I ended up with an upset tummy and was more than a little annoyed with myself.

I forgive myself though.

I'm not perfect, even this far into maintenance. Sometimes I just can't avoid my trigger situations and I eat too much.  Today's a new day, full of choices to make.

I had to switch up my lunch from the plan, but no big deal. On the menu for today:
B: Barley, dark sweet cherries and almonds
S: Raspberry Smoothie
L: Tuna Melt on an English Muffin with a Strawberry-Avocado Side Salad
S: Triscuits w/hummus topped w/ red peppers
D: Open face egg sandwich with...stuff...not sure yet
S: Popcorn for the Bs game!

I always wish I could take photos of the things I eat like some of my favorite bloggers (Kath Eats and Carrots N' Cake), but I work in a secure building where using a camera phone can get you fired. So it's ultimately best not to take any pictures.

Eric and I are planning on hitting the gym after work, which should help perk my mood up considerably.  I totally forgot my heart rate monitor strap so I'm going to have to make my best guess at calories burned today.
