Fall Challenge

I've been thinking about shedding a few more pounds to get to race weight for a couple of months now. I want to be in top-condition for the Disney 5K, since I'm looking to set a PR when I run it. My ideal racing weight is roughly 120lbs, which should drop my body fat percentage down to 17-18% by my monitor.  120 isn't an unreasonable weight for me and I don't want anyone thinking I'm suddenly developing an eating disorder.  I love food too much to not eat it or regurgitate it.

In order to achieve this goal, I'm going to start working on it in the month of October to it.  Every good challenge starts with a basic framework of guidelines so here are mine:

  • Initial Weigh-in is Friday, October 1st - Weekly weigh-ins will be every Friday thereafter
  • I will be posting my vital statistics (weight, bf %, measurements) every Friday on the blog
  • As an added twist, I am going to post a picture of myself in each Friday to track this challenge photographically
  • I will be eating approximately 50% of my exercise calories back
  • Net Calorie Intake Level - 1650 kcal
  • Each week will have a different theme for me to focus on, likely a behavior that I wish to change
    • Week One:  Bring healthy balanced lunches to work!
    • Week Two: Take multivitamin at breakfast every day
    • Week Three: Eat more veggies
    • Week Four: TBD
That's the basic gist of it.  I may decide to reward myself for achieving this goal with some new workout gear but we shall see.I might end up saving all my money for Disney World. :)
